Global Month of Good with partners of Starbucks manufacturing EMEA B.V.

Starbucks x 't Koffiehuis

The Social committee of the Amsterdam Roasting Plant, together with Business Involved, brought a collection of activities for their partners to participate in during the GMOG 2024.

This Spring, they offered a diverse range of volunteer opportunities for their partners to get involved and make a positive impact right here in Amsterdam.

We are grateful to highlight the incredible impact made at of Het Koffiehuis (The Coffeehouse) and Oma's Soep (Granny's Soup) in our community

Het Koffiehuis (The Coffeehouse) is a beacon of hope for Amsterdam’s homeless and undocumented individuals, providing a safe space, daily work projects, warm meals, and clean clothes.

Oma's Soep (Granny's Soup) is a heartwarming initiative addressing loneliness among the elderly in the Netherlands. By combining food rescue with social engagement, they bring older adults together to cook and prepare nutritious soups for those in need.

The Social committee of the Amsterdam Roasting Plant already had some fantastic participation from their partners who volunteered at Het Koffiehuis and Oma's Soep. The experience of cooking alongside and for these communities, was truly enriching, and it served as a powerful reminder of the impact we all can have by working together.

We are ready to continue the journey of positive impact this Fall with the partners, The Social committee and Business Involved. Together, we are aiming for sustainable and long-term partnerships that truly make a difference in the communities of Amsterdam.

The team of 't Koffiehuis was pleased to have Starbucks' Social Committee over for a day to cook a delicious meal for the visitors.
